The interest in the Jörnkängan Sommar is great, which we are very pleased about. We receive daily inquiries about when it can be ordered; the truth is that we cannot answer exactly when your size will be ready. We are a small company, and the production is done by a few people, where each step is carried out with precision and craftsmanship. There is no assembly line. The long-term plan is to build up a stock so that you, as a customer, can order your boots and have them delivered at the time of purchase. We are not there yet, but we are slowly but surely making progress.We are unable to take pre-orders; however, you can sign up for a waiting list, and when your size has been produced, we will email you a quote. There are no obligations in the offer. You can take your time to decide whether to accept or decline, and the request will move on if we do not receive a response from you within 48 hours. About Jörnkängan Sommar
The Jörnkängan Sommar is a high-top shell boot with foot-friendly features. This means that the toes have plenty of space while the foot is secured in the shoe. The sole is called Skywalk, which is a durable sole with good grip.
Field of application
The boot is primarily used during spring, summer, and early autumn when the cold is not as intrusive. The shaft is made from durable leather. The sole is made from cellular rubber that holds up well against dirt and water.
Sustainability
The summer boot only gets more and more comfortable over time and is designed to last for a long time. Most parts can be repaired or replaced as the boot wears out. It is manufactured by Reboot in our premises in Borlänge. There, we also offer resoling and repair of all models of the Jörn boot.
Sizes
The sizes are very accurate! We use a metric system called Mondopoint. It is based on the foot's measurements in millimetres and allows us to manufacture boots in very precise sizes. Follow our guide to measure your feet correctly and choose the right size when you order.
Other info
In sizes 310 and 315, we use the Tuya sole from Vibram. The reason is that Skywalk is not manufactured in these sizes. Tuya is, by the way, the sole used on Jörnkängan's models Antifrys and Original.
Here's how to measure your feet
Option 1. Place a ruler against a wall and position your foot on the ruler with your heel against the wall. Read the measurement under your toes.
Option 2. In the picture, we have placed the foot on a piece of paper and, with the heel against the wall, drawn a line in line with the toe tip. Measure the distance between the edge of the paper and your toe line.
Remember to draw the line right at the tip of the toe, not in front, and avoid adding mm to your measurement. The boot takes into account socks.
The measurement in millimetres is the size you should order. If you fall between two sizes, you should choose the nearest larger size.
