About Sommarkängan

Sommarkängan is a high-cut shell boot with ergonomic features. This means the toes have plenty of space while the foot is securely fixed in the shoe. The sole is called Skywalk, a durable sole with good grip on both dry and slippery surfaces.

Usage area

This model is perfect for long hikes with heavy loads through forests, mountains, or other rugged terrain. The boot is primarily used during spring, summer, and early fall when the cold is less intense. The shaft is made of durable leather, while the shoe and sole are made of rubber, providing excellent resistance to dirt and water.

Sustainability

The Sommarkängan only gets more comfortable with time and is designed to last for many years. Every part can be repaired or replaced as the boot wears out. It is manufactured by Reboot in our facilities in Borlänge, where we also offer resoling and repairs for all Jörnkängan models.

Size

The sizes are very accurate! We use a metric system called Mondopoint, which is based on the foot's measurements in millimeters. This allows us to manufacture boots in very precise sizes. Follow our guide to measure your feet correctly and choose the right size when placing your order.

Measure the length of your foot

alt 1. Place a ruler against a wall and place your foot on the ruler with your heel against the wall. Read the measurement under your toe tip.

alt 2. In the picture, we have placed the foot on a piece of paper with the heel against the wall and drawn a line in line with the tip of the toes

Measure the distance between the edge of the paper and your toe line. The measurement in millimeters is the size you should order. If you fall between two sizes, choose the nearest larger size.

Make sure to draw the line right at the tip of your toes, not in front, and avoid adding any millimeters to your measurement. The boot will account for socks.
